MIDI files

The MIDI file is handled through

your sound card through some type

of software synthesizer. With the

use of Sound Fonts, Creative’s

Sound Blaster Audigy series is

arguably one of the best sound

cards on the market today. Instead

of using a large wavetable sample

on your sound card, you can use

many downloadable sound samples

to create very realistic sound.

MP3 files

The MP3 files on this site are

simply recordings of the MIDI files

found here. By recording these

files, you hear what the file creator

hears - if they use sound fonts,

that’s what you’ll hear. Expensive

MIDI synthesizers? You’ll hear

them. It doesn’t matter what type

of wavetable synthesizer you

have, you will hear what they

heard when they made it.

 

 

Search for music files

Just type in a few words (artist, title,

sequencer, etc.) to search MIDIMax for the

file(s) you are looking for.

Remember, not all formats are available for all

files.
